2013 Spring Soccer Season

Welcome Players & Parents -

On behalf of the 2013 River Valley Soccer Association (RVSA), we would like to thank you for participating in our Spring 2013 Soccer season!

As many of you know, RVSA is a completely volunteer organization made up of parents and community members interested in furthering the knowledge of soccer throughout the River Valley area as well as offering a safe, friendly and educational environment for kids who love the game of Soccer.

Your Parent Welcome Packet & Agreement forms (click here)

For the safety of all players, RVSA is required to collect a signed "Parent & Athlete Agreement" and "Question & Contact Information" form each season. These documents were provided to us by the school to educate players, parents and coaches of sports related concussion injuries. The agreement forms can be found in the above Parent Welcome Packet. Please review, sign & return the 2 forms to your coach before your first practice or game. Both forms are required before a player is able to attend practices or participate in a game.

Concessions

During this Spring Season home games, RVSA will host a concession stand. Michelle Thier has graciously volunteered to be the Coordinator. A tent and table will be set-up each home game near the soccer fields. There will be donuts, water, donated baked goods and soccer items for sale. During the player registration process, if you signed up to be a Concessions Volunteer, you will be responsible to cover a shift when your child is playing in Spring Green. You will also be responsible for bringing individually wrapped baked goods to be sold at concessions. Examples are: small bags of chex mix, granola, puppy chow, rice krispie bars, cookies. All baked goods will be sold at 50 cents.

It is extremely important that you make sure you follow through with your volunteer commitment. We are a volunteer organization and need to work together to make this successful for the kids. People who do not honor their volunteer commitment will be charged a $40.00 fee and they will not be able to register their child for the next season until that fee is paid in full.

Sportsmanship

Very simply, if it is not kind, if it is not positive, it should not be said. No foul language or gestures will be tolerated. Please come to games bringing only a positive team spirit. Spectators are encouraged to cheer however are asked not to scream or shout any negative comments at either team.

If you have any questions regarding this Spring Season please feel contact to your coach or a member of the board.

Thank you& again welcome to RVSA SPRING SOCCER 2013!

Sincerely,

RVSA Board Members
